FEATURED PROJECTS
Having worked on the initial two projects that transformed the building at 100 Grayston Drive more than 15 years ago, John Radford Architects were appointed once again to upgrade the building to meet with the changed operational brief and to provide additional amenities centred around the visitor's experience.
As an add-on to the existing project, the client required an outdoor entertainment space as a transition from their enclosed apartment to the garden and golf course beyond.
Inspired by Philip Johnson's Glass House and Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion, the design incorporates minimalist structure, glazing and natural materials to create a pavilion that is light, airy and transitional.
Under the vision of the SABJE, a need was determined to create a Jewish day school for children with learning disabilities.
Identifying that a part of the Victory Park Campus was available, this project was constructed in three phases in-line with the growth and development of the school, which now includes 14 classrooms, therapy and OT amenities as well as a music and art room. The building was designed to focus on the interactive playground which was populated with equipment to improve motor-function skills.
